YouTube doesn’t have an official app for Apple’s Vision Pro yet, but it’s working on one now – after having initially opted out altogether. It is however unclear when that may arrive.
In the meantime, TikTok is happy to eat YouTube’s lunch and also claim the First! title between them two. Starting today, an official TikTok app is available for the Vision Pro, so now you can spend hours and hours each day scrolling through videos, but in an immersive fashion.

Just be careful not to get too immersive – TikTok is already notorious for making five hours passing feel like just five minutes on a phone, we can’t imagine what it will be like on the headset, especially as you don’t have an obvious time indicator on it. So don’t be surprised if you plan on just opening TikTok for a few minutes only to find that your Vision Pro’s fully charged battery is now gone, and you haven’t left TikTok at all in the meantime.
TikTok actually beat both YouTube and Netflix to the Vision Pro punch. We’re curious to find out if consuming social media content is going to turn out to be one of the main use cases for the Vision Pro – after all, that is what phones get used most for these days, so why not?
