Samsung has seemingly finalized its Galaxy S25 lineup for January of 2025 – expect the usual Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. But come 2026, the phone maker may drop the smaller Galaxy S26. It won’t be a precedent – the company just dropped the vanilla model in this year’s Galaxy Tab S10 series, only releasing the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra.
OnePlus and Oppo devices are once again banned from selling in Germany, but this time it wasn’t Nokia’s fault. This time it’s a patent dispute with InterDigital over key patents for 5G and other mobile technologies. OnePlus’ online store in Germany once again has no smartphones for sale, though its other products seem to be fine – so this is clearly about 5G. It’s unclear when OnePlus will be able to sell its handsets in Germany again.
A Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy confirmed the phone’s dimensions, rounded corners, and thinner bezels.
And the rounded corners, of course. The S25 Ultra will have much better ergonomics than the S24 Ultra.
The first images of the Google Pixel 9a arrived. The phone adopts the other Pixel 9 devices’ flatter design and interestingly has a flush camera bar. The Pixel 9a is expected to launch in the spring
Infinix unveiled the Hot 50 4G with a Helio G100 chip and a 6.78-inch 120Hz IPS LCD. The Infinix Hot 50 4G is already available in some countries. One store in Ukraine has put a UAH 6,800 price tag on it (which converts to $165/€150/₹13,850).
vivo teased the design of the upcoming X200 Pro, revealing that it will have flat sides and a flat front – a departure from the curvy glass panels and flat sides of the previous X series phones.
Compared to the Hot 50 5G from earlier this month, the 4G model loses next-gen connectivity, but gains a higher resolution display.
A couple of benchmark stories also gained traction – the Galaxy A56 benchmark results revealed it runs an Exynos 1580, and we tested the Exynos 2400e inside the Galaxy S24 FE.
Finally, Motorola announced the Moto G75 with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
“Faster” as in clock speed, anyway, we don’t actually know what the CPU cores are used in the new chipset. But we do know that it will have a next-gen GPU.
How does the Exynos 2400e compare to the full-fat Exynos 2400? What about the Apple A18 and Tensor G4?
