Get ‘em while you can – Best Buy just kicked off 3-day sale on a variety of things including some nice deals on the Apple Watch Series 9, Watch Ultra 2 and Watch SE. The latter will be fine, but the first two just got banned by the ITC over a patent dispute.
Before we get into the exact offers, we should note that this might be your last chance to get the holiday shopping done and have items arrive on time. To help out with that, Best Buy will offer free shipping until December 21at 11:30 AM EST. There will be free same day shipping for December 23-24 until 12 PM local time. The final opportunity is the buy online, pick up in store offer that will run until 5 PM local time on the 24th.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Watch SE are all $50 off right now, the Watch Series 9 is $70 off.
Another Apple offer is for the older iPad 10.2 (the 9th gen model from 2021). The 64GB version (Wi-Fi) is down to $250 right now. It’s still a capable tablet, but do keep in mind that it uses the Lightning connector while the rest of Apple is moving to USB-C.
You can also grab your first foldable – the Motorola Razr 2023 is down to just $500, almost mid-ranger territory. It’s not as capable as the Razr+ as it only has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, but it has a nearly identical 6.9” 144Hz inner display (and a tiny cover display).
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is equipped with the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and has better waterproofing (IPX8).
Horizontal foldables are represented by the Google Pixel Fold. This one also has an IPX8 water resistance rating, however, it uses the Tensor G2 chipset, which can’t match the performance of the Snapdragon. The Pixel Fold has solid cameras, though, with a 48MP main (1/2.0”, OIS), a 10.8MP 112mm telephoto (5x, OIS) and a 10.8MP ultra wide (121°).
The Google camera experience is even better with the Pixel 8 Pro, which is under $1,000 now with its $200 discount (even the 256GB model). It has a 50MP with a larger sensor (1/1.31”), the 113mm periscope has a better sensor too at 48MP and even the 126° ultra wide was upgraded to a 48MP sensor.
The smaller Pixel 8 loses the periscope completely and its ultra wide is only a 12MP shooter, but this phone is both cheaper and more compact than its Pro sibling. The two Pixel 8 models will be supported for 7 years (both software and hardware).
