A new set of rumors for next year’s iPhone 16 series is here courtesy of well-known tech analyst Jeff Pu, detailing some of the major improvements coming to the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. Next year’s Pro iPhones will gain Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, up from the Wi-Fi 6e capable iPhone 15 Pro models. The 16 Pro and Pro Max will also receive Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 modem which should provide faster 5G download speeds compared to the X70 found on the iPhone 15 generation alongside better battery life.
Both 16 Pro models will get updated 48MP ultrawide cameras and the 16 Pro is expected to gain the 12MP tetra-prism lens found on the iPhone 15 Pro Max with its 5x optical zoom. The new zoom sensor will be fitted due to the larger dimensions of the upcoming iPhone Pros – the 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch screen while the 16 Pro Max will likely come with a 6.9-inch panel.
As for the vanilla iPhone 16, Jeff Pu believes it will bring a less powerful version of the A17 Pro chip found on the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max with 8GB RAM and the same dual cameras as the iPhone 15 and a minor upgrade to Wi-Fi 6e.
