Yesterday we saw some renders of the upcoming Motorola Razr 40 foldable, and today it’s time for us to get our best look yet at its higher-end sibling, the Razr 40 Ultra. This has been leaked in all three colors, in renders that definitely look official, by none other than legendary leakster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks).
The renders confirm the phone’s name too. Clearly the outstanding thing here is that outer screen. By far the biggest one we’ve ever seen on this type of foldable, it takes up almost the entire available space, even wrapping around the cameras and flash! It definitely looks impressive, especially compared to what this model’s competitors are doing.
The Razr 40 Ultra has so far been rumored to sport the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a main screen with 1080×2640 resolution and 120 Hz or 144 Hz refresh rate, 1056×1066 resolution on the outer screen, up to 512GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM, and a 3,640 mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
The main camera is said to be 12 MP, using Sony’s IMX563 sensor, and next to it will be a 13 MP ultrawide using SK Hynix’s Hi1336 sensor. On the inside there’s a 32 MP selfie snapper using the OmniVision OV32B40 sensor.
The phone should launch running Android 13, and that launch could be happening within the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
