Oppo unveiled its latest A-series device earlier today in China with the A2 Pro. It brings a curved 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7050 chipset. The other notable bit is that Oppo promises the 5,000 mAh battery inside the A2 Pro will comfortably last you for at least 4 years after purchase. If it falls below 80% battery health within 4 years of the purchase date, Oppo will offer a free battery replacement.
Based on Oppo’s tests, the battery reattained 88% of its original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles which should be enough to handle one charge per day for four years before it falls below 80%. The 5,000 mAh cell features 67W wired charging and a proprietary battery health engine and power chip which monitor charging and prevent excessive heat and overcharging.

The A2 Pro is equipped with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Despite the large camera island and four cutouts, the back only houses a 64MP main camera (f/1.7 aperture, 0.7µm pixels) and a 2MP depth helper. The software side is covered by ColorOS 13.1 on top of Android 13. You also get an IP54 water and dust resistance rating and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
