Xiaomi launched the Redmi Pad as the first tablet in the Redmi lineup last October, which will be joined by an SE model soon. Xiaomi hasn’t divulged anything about the Redmi Pad SE yet, but the latest leak leaves little to the imagination since it reveals the tablet’s specs, price, and design.
The leaked images show the Redmi Pad SE in three colors – gray, green, and purple. The tablet’s built around an 11″ FullHD+ LCD with 90Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, and 207 ppi pixel density. It sports two cameras – a 5MP f/2.2 unit on the front and an 8MP f/2.0 unit on the rear. The slate will support the FocusFrame feature that automatically tracks subjects during video calls and keeps them centered.
The Redmi Pad SE will have the Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will run Android 13-based MIUI for Pad out of the box and pack an 8,000 mAh battery that will draw power through a USB-C port at up to 10W and offer up to 21 hours of uninterrupted video playback and 12 hours of continuous gaming.
The source claims that the Pad SE will have a metal unibody design and weigh 478 g. It will be 7.36mm thick and come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The tablet will also have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity but no LTE support and fingerprint scanner, which is hardly surprising since the vanilla model didn’t have those either. However, the Pad SE will be compatible with the Redmi Stylus for Pad. The renders also confirm the presence of quad speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The Redmi Pad SE will be priced at around €190 in Europe, which is expectedly less than the Redmi Pad’s European price of €279 for the base model having 3GB RAM and 64GB storage onboard.
