Report: Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6, Flip6 and Galaxy Ring in early July

Samsung’s second Unpacked event of the year will reportedly be held in early July. The event will see the unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, as well as the Galaxy Ring.

The report comes from Sammobile, who have it on good authority that the event will happen in early July. They speculate it will take place on July 10, because it’s a Wednesday – the day Samsung likes to hold its Unpacked announcements on.

What also makes it plausible is Samsung’s tendency to release its Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones earlier and earlier – the fourth-gen came out in late August, while the fifth-gen arrived in early August.

Finally, July 10 is right before the Olympics, which begins on July 26. Being a major sponsor of the 2024 Olympics, Samsung will aim to make a splash at the opening.

Samsung will announce the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 with a refined design (Fold6 renders here, Z Flip6 renders here). The pair will also likely pack Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets.

There could also be a separate Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra model, which will reportedly share the 200MP camera of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Finally, it seems that the Galaxy Ring, which was shown for the first time at the Mobile World Congress this week, will take the usual place of the Galaxy Watch series alongside the new foldables. Samsung’s Galaxy Watch7 plans are unclear but given we’ve had zero rumors and leaks about them, they could arrive later in the year.
