The Samsung Galaxy S24+ will be kept up to date with new OS releases for seven years and the first major update is getting closer. The phone was spotted running Android 15 for a Geekbench test, which also means that it was running the new One UI 7.0.
Back in May, Samsung was already testing One UI 7 on the S24 Ultra. Now, the two other S24 members are joining the fun. Tarun Vats, who spotted the Geekbench result, also reports that Samsung has internal test builds for the small Galaxy S24. They have the following version numbers: S928BXXU3BXG2, S928BOXM3BXG2.
Samsung Galaxy S24+ running Android 15/One UI 7 spotted in the Geekbench database
Samsung is developing One UI 7 behind closed doors for now, but a public beta can be expected in August or September. The Galaxy S24 trio will likely be the first to get it. Older S-series phones and eligible models from the other series will get it too, of course.
Looking back to last year, the One UI 6 beta went public in August, then the stable Android 14/One UI 6 update was rolled out at the end of October. We can expect a similar timeline for One UI 7.
