The Galaxy Tab A9 is the latest Android tablet from Samsung to go official. The device was released without much fanfare appearing on the official Samsung Guatemala website and on Amazon UAE. Some of the press materials also mention the Tab A9+ but they don’t reveal the complete specs sheet and pricing details for now.
Tab A9 brings an 8.7-inch IPS LCD with 800 x 1340 px resolution. A previous Google Play Console listing confirmed the device is equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G99 chip paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage on the base variant which is expandable via the microSD card slot. The Amazon UAE listing confirms that the Tab A9 and A9+ come with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Tab A9+ is expected to launch with an 11-inch LCD with a 1200 x 1920px resolution, a Snapdragon 695 chipset with 4/8GB RAM, up to 128GB storage and optional 5G support. Both new tablets boot Android 13 presumably with One UI 5.1 on top. We don’t get any details on the cameras or battery capacities for either of the two new tablets.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 with LTE connectivity is priced at AED 699 ($190) on Amazon UAE and GTQ 1,499 ($191) on Samsung Guatemala. We can expect pricing and availability details for more regions to emerge in the coming days.
